At Joyful Therapy Group, we work in collaboration with your insurance provider (such as Kaiser Permanente) to support your care. If your therapist believes you may benefit from a higher level of care, we may share documentation with your insurer to help their case manager evaluate your needs.

Case managers are the ones who review clinical information, consider availability, consult with your physician, and determine which level of care and which program is best supported under your plan. We respect and support this process and work alongside case managers to ensure they have the information they need.

As the client, you are welcome to express your preferences and advocate for the type of care you believe will help you most. Your voice is an important part of the process. Ultimately, your insurance provider and their case manager make the final decision about placement and coverage.
