Brooke is a trauma-informed, licensed Registered Dietitian (RD/LDN), body-image specialist and Certified Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapist (C-EDIT). Brooke has extensive experience working in all levels of eating disorder treatment (residential, PHP/IOP and outpatient). She is a passionate advocate for mental health and nutrition. Brooke’s approach is deeply rooted in the understanding that mental health is linked to our relationship with food and our bodies. Her nutrition philosophy is centered around the conviction that all foods contribute to a balanced lifestyle, and health is not defined by weight, alone.
Brooke specializes in a collaborative and therapeutic approach to treating eating disorders and body image dissatisfaction, specifically when they intersect with anxiety, depression, OCD, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), trauma, and substance abuse.
Brooke’s commitment to her clients is evident in her specialized services: Specialized Eating Disorder and Trauma-Informed Disordered Eating Treatment: Tailored strategies for conditions commonly associated with eating behaviors and body dissatisfaction through innovative nutritional approaches. These strategies include embracing Intuitive Eating (IE), EDIT (Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy), HAES (Health At Every Size), Radical Acceptance, Body Acceptance and Embodiment as powerful tools in the therapeutic process.
Comprehensive Mental Health Nutrition Therapy: Addressing complex disorders with empathy and compassion.
Eating Disorders Expertise: Offering a path to healing from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, related eating disorders and undiagnosed disordered eating.
Mind-Body Connection: Utilizing Dr. Niva Piran's principles of Embodiment to foster deep, intuitive self-awareness, gratitude, and body positivity.
