Madeline Reams, AMFT

Madeline Reams is currently an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working towards her licensure.

Madeline holds a Master’s in clinical psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Madeline is devoted to holding a safe space for individuals, couples, and families to break down their thoughts, emotions, and struggles and then guiding them to rebuild their lives and relationships using new scaffolding. Because she trusts that everyone has the answers within them, and it is her role to guide you to those answers. She attends every session with full presence and dedication to collaboratively working with you on your journey, whatever that may be for you.

A common theme in her therapy room is understanding and experiencing the liberation of acceptance. Madeline helps her clients find the balance of holding space for the inevitable trials and tribulations of life while also finding and allowing joy to shine through. She refers to this balance as resiliency.

Madeline has experience working with individuals of varying ages, backgrounds, and concerns. She is passionate about neuropsychology, specifically physiological psychology and the mind-body connection, as it gives insight into the processes of why behavior occurs and changes over time. She works from a social constructivism lens by acknowledging that every individual has a different understanding of the world based on their culture and adapting her therapeutic approach to those constructs. Madeline believes recognizing our equality in the therapy room is essential to inspire empowerment and take authority over one’s own life. She encourages individuals that it is not about fixing a “problem”, but instead about understanding the concerns from a different perspective.
